Um einen Auftrag zu ergattern versuchten sie in einer der Hafenkneipen [[Melvaunt|Melvaunts]] ein Schiff zu finden, dass vielleicht noch Söldner oder Begleiter suchte, sie trafen auf [[Tutius Calem Thanewind|Kapitän Thanewind]], der sie großmütig einlud und dann, als sie reichlich betrunken waren, betäuben und einsperren ließ, um sie als Sklaven im Süden zu verkaufen.<br /> <br /> Er entstammt keiner bedeutenden Familie von Melvaunt ab, kennt aber die wichtigsten Personen und kann sich mitunter als nützlich erweisen, weil er die verworrenen Verwandtschaftsverhältnisse in Melvaunt einigermaßen versteht. Dafür reicht sein Horizont kaum sechzig Schritte aus dem Stadttor hinaus.<br /> <br /> <br /> == Charakter ==<br /> Dermin ist wissbegierig und einfältig. Er schwärmt ein bisschen für [[Melisana Silberstreif|die Elfe Melisana]], aber er hat kaum den Mut, sie anzusprechen. Es fehlt ihm in jeder Hinsicht an Erfahrung, aber er lernt schnell und kann neue Zauber normalerweise gut aufnehmen. Nach und nach kann er sich mit Unterstützung der [[Spielercharaktere|Charaktere]] zu einem guiten Zauberer entwickeln. Einen leichten Faible hat er für Illusionszauber, gleichwohl er anfangs nur das &#039;&#039;Magische Geschoss&#039;&#039; beherrscht.<br /> <br /> == Hintergrund ==<br /> Dermin ist als potenzieller Gefolgsmann für einen Zauberkundigen oder einen Priester gedacht, aber er kann auch einen Krieger interessant finden. Mit Dieben hat er es nicht so, aber er nimmt auch den Anschluss an die Diebesgilde hin. Sollte die Spielergruppe Probleme haben, das Gold für die Magierakademie aufzubringen oder aber neue Zauber irgendwie nicht bekommen, wäre er so eine Art Notgroschen für den Spielleiter.
